Quilted Fabulous Thanks

Spending time with my mom this last week,

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 2

Christmas is sneaking up on me - I feel it -

- - it's a slow and steady creep. . .

but it's such a wonderful time of joy -

I can't help but get excited. . .

I love Christmas with family - 

I love seeing my parents, and children!

AND I love to see my grand kids 

when they come to decorate, or bake, 

or when its FINALLY

Christmas!

I wanted to take a moment and create a simple

12" x 12" scrapbook page to go into 

a shadow box for my hubby.  

I have gotten him addicted to decorating

for the Christmas Holiday and he even

decorates his office now.

I created this simple, elegant page with: 

Ponderosa Pine Cardstock 

and coordinating paper from the 

Enchantment Paper Fundamentals.

Colonial White Cardstock,

Champagne and Chocolate Inks for sponging,

Cricut Artbooking Cartridge (Hexagon Shape),

Damask Embossing Folder,

 Yuletide Carol Paper Pack,

Foam Tape.

The Pumpkins are Here!

 The Pumpkins are HERE!!!  

And everyone is doing a 

little jig in our family

because Pumpkin Bread 

is a big hit around here!

Sooooo I baked a few loaves 

of Pumpkin Bread (10 to be exact)

and I just couldn't resist sharing with my

neighbors BUT you know I needed to 

decorate those gifts.

I got out my trusty Cricut Explore, 

My Close to My Heart Cardstocks

 in Honey, Chocolate, Champagne 

& Autumn Terracotta and 

created leaves and sweet acorns with my

CTMH Artiste and Art Philosphy Cartidges.

Crumpling the leaves and sponging ink onto

each one really turned out to be pretty!

I even embossed the top of the acorn with

Damask Embossing Folder.

I wrapped up the breads in a cute little burlap

ribbon and added the autumn trimmings!

Stroll Down Ivy Lane with Me...

I've fallen in love with the new 

Ivy Lane Workshop on the Go Scrapbooking Kit

Not only are there precious scrapbook creations to be made, 

but I made a some great cards.  I think this one is my favorite 

and it has one of my favorite scriptures  - YAY! 

The Be Still Stamp (A1141 - $6.95) is beautiful.

Using the Ivy Lane Green, Bamboo and Ivy Lane Papers

this card turned out so sweet.  All of these papers are 

included in the Ivy Lane Paper Packet (X7178B - $9.95).  

I love this cute card and wish it was solely my idea, 

but I saw one very similar 

and wanted to recreate it.

I apologize that I don't remember who created 

the original and sparked my creation.

This sweet little guy is hopping by

to bring you some Easter cheer.

Spring is filled with fun and the Skylark Paper Packet

from Close To My Heart is no exception.

This flip side of one sheet of the Skylark design paper

created the precious window to house the cute bunny here.

The stamped image (from a retired 

Stamp of the Month Sensational Season)

was stamped in Timber Brown Staz-On

and then colored in using the Blender Pen

and CTMH Exclusive inks in 

the colors: Lagoon & Desert Sand.

A hint of Blush Ink was then added 

to the ears and nose, while the grass 

effect was created with Sweet Leaf and 

a sponge swept in an upward motion

to create the blades of grass look.

Happy Easter was stamped from a stamp 

I had laying around from last year

and Lagoon ink was used for the color 

of the stamped image and the distressed look

created on the edge of the image mat.

I'm in love with all the 

Cricut Artiste (#1790) cuts 

and this cute

foundation piece for the 

"Happy Easter"sentiment 

was cut from that cartridge.

The window layer was raised on adhesive dots

and a double bow of coordinating twine finished

this sweet card with just the 

added embellishment needed.

Believe in Yourself...

Spring has sprung and the birds are singing...

The Skylark Paper Pack (Product ID: # X7177B)

from Close To My Heart

is a beautiful way to start sharing 

Spring with friends.

This simple card created from one of the design papers 

in the pack is quick and simple to assemble.

Utilizing the Close To My Heart 

Cricut Artiste Cartridge (Product ID: #1790),

 I created the placard 

using Colonial White Cardstock (Product ID: #1388).

This was used as a place to stamp the 

sentiment of "Believe in Yourself"

from the Believe in Yourself Stamp Set (Product ID: #1574)

 Desert Sand Exclusive Ink (Product ID: #Z2118) 

was utilized in stamping the sentiment and distressing the 

edges of the placard and the designer paper layer.

The Teal Shimmer Trim (Product ID: #Z1918) 

was used to accent the Coordinating Design Trim 

from the top of the double sided design.

Finally, an accent flower from the Skylark Assortment 

(Product ID: #Z3000) was added for that "one last touch".

Bunny Treats

Sweet Bunny Treats are always fun 

during Spring and Easter season and this year

is no different for our little ones.

This year, I created these sweet Bunny treats

with the Close To My Heart Artiste Cartridge (Z1790).

Using the Sky Cardstock (X4761), I set the Artiste to cut

the Bunny Box at 9" on my Cricut   - - - 

Then using the Artiste Cartridge (Z1790) 

and Sweet Leaf cardstock (X5639),

 set the grass on the Accent 3 button with Shift Key 

to cut at 1" - cutting two pieces for each box.

Once the Bunny Box is cut, and while flat, 

place a sticky note at the base of the bunny

(this will shield the box while allowing you to color bunny)

and use a sponge (Z697)  inked with Cocoa Ink (Z2114)

to color each bunny fully.

Create an eye and cottontail for your bunny

using a white gel pen.

Put the treat box together using 

the instructions on page 54 

of the assembly book.

Once together, cut grass to fit each

side of box and adhere using Liquid Glass (Z679).
